Looking for theologians to test-drive this
PatrologiX is live, but it's still early. Before anyone relies on it for real research, I'm looking for a handful of patristics / theology people willing to actually use it and tell me where it falls apart.
A few honest caveats up front:
- Don't expect polished, reliable research output yet. The corpus, search, and AI-assisted reading tools work, but the AI chat answers in particular are unverified for theological accuracy and citation correctness. Treat anything the assistant says as a lead to check against the primary sources, not a citable conclusion.
- The AI features are bring-your-own-key (OpenAI), so trying them costs you directly. I'd rather be upfront about that than hide it.
- Corpus coverage, tagging, and cross-references are still being filled in and corrected. If something looks obviously wrong or missing, that's expected at this stage, and exactly the kind of thing I want to hear about.
If you work with patristic or theological texts and are willing to kick the tires (browse some documents, run a few AI queries, try to break things), get in touch. Real feedback from people who actually know this material is worth more to this project right now than any amount of me polishing in isolation.
